Hello, February!
We here at the Co-Op are hoping you are all having a cozy and restful midwinter. Did any of you see the full Snow Moon? It was just stunning.
Let’s talk about what’s happening down at your friendly neighborhood Co-Op this month!
Operations
As many of you are already aware, we had some emergency plumbing issues arise recently. We deeply appreciate the understanding and patience the community had while we were closed for the repairs. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Solders Plumbing–their team was so great to work with, and they’ve done a great job getting our pipes fixed up!
You may also be aware that we have been hiring recently. We were lucky enough to have a lot of really awesome people apply for the open positions, and we want to thank everybody who submitted an application. Congratulations to our new team members, as well!
Sales Highlights
Coffee of the Month is North Star–a light roast–from the fair trade company Equal Exchange.
Cheese of the Month is Organic Valley cream cheese–this could be the base for your Super Bowl dips, or maybe it’s your sign to make a cheesecake!
Chia seeds are on sale for $2.49/lb.

The next meeting of the Board of Directors is Thursday, February 12th at 5:30pm in the Community Room. Interested in joining the BoD? Look to our website and/or email boardncfc@gmail.com for more information.

Do you know a 6th-8th grader looking for a cool project to work on? Maybe they’d be interested in joining HAPPY for their second art workshop! Participants will learn about the Chinese New Year and help to make a parade dragon. The workshop goes from February 23 to March 6th, with a community presentation on March 7th. Register with the HAPPY artist collective on facebook!
“Late February days; and now, at last,
Might you have thought that
Winter's woe was past;
So fair the sky was and so soft the air.”
