November is here!
While many folks bemoan the somber grayness of November, you can’t deny that it’s part of life in the North Country. There’s something beautiful about this cold and rainy time of year–maybe it’s the way we begin to hunker in and hold each other close against the frigid wind. Whatever the reason, in its own way, this is a beautiful season!
At the Co-Op, we’re especially excited because we’re getting ready for all the cozy celebrations the holidays have in store. Check out what we’ve got going on this month!
Operations
We will be closed on Sunday, November 9th to get the freezer repaired. Regular Sunday shoppers, you have our apologies for the interruption in service. But yay! Freezer! Expect to see more of your favorite frozen products available for purchase again soon.
If you’re ordering a turkey from Misty Knoll Farms through us this holiday season, keep in mind: Orders close on Tuesday November 11th! Please call the Co-Op if you have any questions.
Products
Lots of holiday cooking essentials are on sale here at the Co-Op this month, like bouillon ($4.99) and broth ($3.79), gluten-free baking flour ($7.99), white vinegar ($5.79), and cranberry sauce (2 for $7).
The cheese of the month is an A2 cheddar from Origin Creamery–A2 cheese is great for those with dairy-sensitive stomachs! Available in the cheese cooler for $6.99 each.
This month’s coffee is Mbeya Mimba Peaberry Tanzania from Copper Horse Coffee. A light roast with notes of brown sugar and citrus, this is for sale at $17.99/lb.
Events
We are participating in a food drive through Feed America, courtesy of our friend Garrett at SUNY Plattsburgh. There are items throughout the store marked as suggested donations, but any non-perishable item is welcome. All donations will be contributed to the Feed America food drive taking place on November 15th.
