September Sales and Newsletter

Hey everybody! We hope you’ve had a fun and fulfilling summer, and that you’re ready to embrace everything September has to offer. There are lots of seasonal offerings here at the Co-Op, and we’re excited to share them with you!

Operations

We are very lucky to be hosting an intern through Empire State Service Corps this fall. Our intern has an interest in food insecurity and in community development, and they will be working with us on some new initiatives to proliferate food access in our local community. Keep an eye out for these programs, and if you meet our intern be sure to give them a warm welcome!

Products

It’s corn season! Fresh and flavorful, local organically grown corn will be available in our produce section through the season.

Coffee of the Month is Cloudbreak Coffee. A light roast from Equal Exchange, this coffee is available in bulk at $16.99 per pound.

Cheese of the Month is Oaxaca! A Mexican mozzarella-style cheese, Oaxaca is great in a variety of applications–especially at $8.99 per pound. Ask the staff about their favorite Oaxaca recipes!

Organic pumpkin seeds are on sale in bulk, at $5.29 per pound.

New Co-Op stickers are available for sale! We have two designs available for purchase at the register–and when you sign up for or renew a membership, you’ll get one on the house!

Events

The Battle of Plattsburgh is rapidly approaching! Are you looking to enjoy all the events the 1814 Commemoration Inc has put together? Admission pins will get you into every Battle of Plattsburgh event! You can purchase your admission pin here at the Co-Op for $15. Please note: general admission is free for folks under 18, but those 18+ are required to purchase a pin for some events.

It’s September, and we all know what that means: school is back in session! Don't forget Student Saturdays at the Co-Op: bring your valid student ID and receive a 5% discount on Saturdays.
