Open Position: Produce Manager

The North Country Food Co-Op prioritizes local and organic produce. It is the job of the Produce Manager to make sure the produce department is well-stocked, accurately priced, and looking neat and attractive. The Produce Manager orders from larger distributors and smaller farms, depending on the season and the availability of in-demand produce.
Responsibilities include:
Taking produce inventory
Ordering produce from suppliers
Inspecting incoming produce shipments
Washing and trimming produce
Following established health and safety code of conduct
Ensuring all produce displayed is fresh and suitable for purchase
Work with In-House Deli to reduce food waste
Assisting customers with produce purchases
Delegating produce maintenance tasks to other staff
Starting rate for the Produce Manager position is $17/hr. This is a full-time position.
